Who cares? We're all liable to be one-percenters of one downtrodden race or another. What matters is that we are all members of the human race, even though at times exceptions based on behavior do seem to exist. Historically, what matters is that Barack Obama was the first president who looked black and --- even more importantly --- identified himself culturally as black. And Obama, like most of the rest of us, was himself of mixed heritage. It's time to get past the race thing, but I fear that's a long time coming.
