This is silly. Money doesn't ruin people's lives. People ruin ruin their own lives. Give me 37 million dollars and I would do just fine. It's always good to have a little extra in the bank.

The ability to handle riches wisely or unwisely is commonly seen in professional entertainers, many of whom come from humble backgrounds. When they hit the big time and the money starts rolling in, they either handle their new-found wealth wisely or they squander it, sometimes killing themselves via drug overdose or some other cause in the process. The ones that flame out get all the publicity, but I think most handle their money wisely.

It's all a matter of character, not money.
