The idea that the universe and all matter and energy within it was once the size of a grain of sand is absurd. Some physicists say it was smaller than an atom, which just adds another level of absurdity. If such notions are true, then we must be living in some sort of simulation. A simulation could indeed spring from nothing or nearly nothing. So the question is: who is running the simulation?
