Okay, so if this quantum computer thing works out could we really have teleporation transporters like in Star Trek? I've read that one big obstacle to the transporter is the sheer volume of information that would have to be processed to make it work. It sounds like quantum computing could help with that problem. Even if we didn't transport people from starships to the surface of another planet, the ability to teleport commmodities right here on Earth would revolutionize economic activity. Is there any hope for such a device, or is it fantasy?
