I think the difference between moron and non-moron is whether you can respect the other person's position even though you disagree with it. I just can't respect the arguments of those who subscribe to silly conspiracy theories and who won't do what is needed to contain a deadly pandemic. I reject the false equivalency of saying that such views are just as valid as those grounded in reality. All too many people want to create their own reality and then foist it off on the rest of us. They are morons, no matter what their level of education or how many letters they have behind their names.
