Given the very precise laws that keep the universe together, the circumstantial evidence for intelligent design of the universe is overwhelming. The only alternative strict materialists have to that intelligent design is the multiverse, which is the idea that our universe is a one in a zillion jackpot universe which just happens to support life as we understand it. But the problem is that the multiverse is a product of faith as much as religion is. So the question remains: Who did the designing? God? Ourselves, in a realm where we exist between lives? An alien teenager utterly beyond our comprehension tinkering around in his bedroom? Show proof of the multiverse and perhaps then the idea that our universe is the jackpot universe becomes more credible. Otherwise, some form of intelligent design appears very likely.
