As a long-time Star Trek fan, I watch Picard. Like all Star Trek, it's a comic book fantasy and it's silly to take it too seriously. But the one thing I wish they had done with Picard is to keep Q young, as he looked in Next Generation. He appears that way briefly in the first episode but then snaps his fingers, saying he wants to "keep up" with Picard, and then he becomes older. I cannot imagine a being such as Q deciding to look different just because a puny human gets older, so his decision to look older just seems to be an admission that it was either too inconvenient or too expensive or maybe even impossible to keep him looking as he did before. That's too bad, because a younger Q would provide a nice link to Next Generation.
